John Peña meets with Penn State Beaver community

John Peña visited Penn State Beaver in mid-April. Our day opened with a campus tour led by Mark Beatty, the Director of Maintenance. We received a behind-the-scenes tour including a former museum on campus that is slated to be demolished later this summer.

Peña met with many students during his visit including classes of art students, criminal justice students, math students and a large group of student athletes. Informative student conversations about campus culture and Penn State Beaver’s strong campus community sparked numerous project ideas.

The Penn State Beaver committee is led by Carey McDougall, Director of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Art.

Additional committee members are:
Chris Rizzo, Director of Student Affairs
Kristen Doerschner, Director of Campus Relations
Robin Bower, Associate Professor of Spanish & Comparative Literature
Mari Pierce, Associate Professor of the Administration of Justice program
Angela Fishman, Associate Teaching Professor or Mathematics,
Laurie Barnes, Instructor of Art
Sarah McMahon, Instructor of Art
