Yvonne Love

Yvonne Love is an Associate Professor of Art and Program Chair at Penn State University’s Abington College.  She received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania. She has had recent solo exhibitions at the List Gallery at Brown University, The Hopper Magazine, Madelon Powers Gallery at East Stroudsburg University, LG Tripp Gallery in Philadelphia, Taller Graphica Experimental in Havana, Cuba and was included in a group show at The Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia and Boston’s International Art Fair. Love is represented by Brenda Taylor Gallery in Boston, and Sidetracks Gallery in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Love’s most recent works take on social and political issues that are anthropogenic in nature, from water contamination to climate change, and include collaborative work with biologists, environmentalists, poets, musicians and dancers, primarily with The LR Collaborative. The LR Collaborative’s, A Quick and Tragic Thaw,  a call to action focusing on the science of climate change, extreme weather, and the decimation of wildlife in the Anthropocene, debuted at the Ruffin Gallery, at the University of Virginia this past fall. The LR Collaborative, are currently artists in residence at Smith College’s Arts Afield Program through Spring 2021.
